A police complaint was filed against the Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty when she allegedly shot a few scenes of one of her forthcoming film in a prohibited area of the Sakhigopal temple in Puri.
The authorities at the Sakhigopal temple in Puri lodged the complaint against the actress and the crew of the film. They allege that since the building is scared place, no one should be allowed to shoot inside it.

But, Shilpa on the other hand while writing on her blog on this particular issue has called the charges laid by the temple authorities both as baseless and needless. First, calling the charges as baseless, Shilpa said, “We didn’t even shoot in this particular temple, and the channel obviously took permission to shoot at the footsteps without which we couldn’t have proceeded.”
Alongside, Shilpa added that such charges are needless saying India has a huge backlog of cases, which are far more important and the courts need to concentrate on those, rather than such petty cases such as this one.
Shilpa said she failed to understand why a case had been filed against her when she was merely a hired actor following the instruction of her director. Shilpa pointed out that since personally her bringing-up and values given by her parents do not allow her to behave in an inappropriate manner at any kind of a scared place, she hadn’t done anything wrong and needs to be kept out of the entire controversy.
Religion is a matter of people’s sentiments and Shilpa wouldn’t like to be a part of any controversy that involves people’s sentiment and faith. Therefore, she must be hoping that the matter ends right here.
